September Goals!
Tuesday, September 01, 2015
As September marks the beginning of the new academic year, it seems a rather apt time to, well sort my self out really! After what could easily be described as the longest summer holiday, ever, I quite honestly need a kick up the backside when it comes to organisation! And what better way to hold myself accountable than to put my monthly to-do-list on my little corner of the internet! So, here's hoping this works...
- Push myself! In particular, when it comes to confidence when meeting new people, as I'm starting university in just a couple of weeks, I really don't want shyness to limit my ability to make friends! Of course this is easier said than done but hey, I can try!
- Jump into university work head first! I'm unsure exactly what to expect in the jump from A-Level to University work and I definitely don't want to fall behind. It's all too easy to push off work in the first term but I'm planning to start as I mean to go on!

- Enjoy the season! I spend the majority of the year yearning for Autumn so I definitely want to make the most of the season whilst it lasts! Fingers crossed I'll get some great photos along the way!

Your goals look like good ones! Good luck with starting university, but mostly just wishing you tons of fun and courage to make the most of it :D The best advice I was given is that literally EVERYONE is feeling like you are - so there's nothing wrong in siding up to someone, introducing yourself, then telling them you're nervous about doing it! I found it was a proper ice breaker and made people comfortable around me when they realised I wasn't naturally super outgoing...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I found the step up between A level and University pretty minimal at first! If you put a lot of work into your A levels I bet you'll find (like I did) that the first year of uni was no harder at all! :)
Can't wait to see your posts from Uni! :D!

Thank you, that's made me feel tons better - realistically I know that everyone will be feeling the same way, but I can't help feeling nervous - hopefully it'll all work out well though! x
