Most of the time, I'm lucky enough to have relatively clear skin that's generally in good condition! However, I am prone to dry skin, so in Winter I have to be even more vigilant with my skin care routine!
My day to day skin care routine involves cleansing twice a day using the Sanctuary Spa Polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser. This cleanser has a really creamy consistency and its not too heavy on the skin, so it's perfect as a daily cleanser. I would liken this product to the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser only, a it's little less expensive!
After cleansing my skin I always moisturise using the Garnier rose enriched moisturiser. I opt to use this moisturiser for three reasons, primarily because it's targeted at dry skin so it does a great job at keeping my face hydrated and soft, secondly because I really like the subtle rosy scent of the product and finally because the packaging is pink and I love pink!
For the majority of the year I exfoliate about once a week, but in Winter I tend to exfoliate twice a week to ensure I keep dry skin at bay. My chosen exfoliator is the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Scrub - I think it does a great job at removing dry skin but isn't too harsh on my skin (again my love of pink fuelled the initial purchase of this product)!
This Winter my skin has (much to my annoyance) become more spot prone, so I've been targeting my breakouts with Liz Earle's Spot On; a roll on blend of oils designed to target spots! I've loved this product for quite some time and it does a great job - unfortunately, the product has been discontinued due to issues with sourcing a key ingredient. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that before long Liz Earle will have an equally effective revised formula on sale, but until then I'll have to target my spots with tea tree oil.
Although not strictly skincare, I also make sure to keep my lips hydrated throughout Winter because lets be honest, no one wants chapped lips! I usually use my trusty Vaseline tin and I'm currently using the rosy lips edition, but I also love the cocoa butter edition!
